...has been performing professionally since the age of seventeen. She has recorded lead and backup vocals for Motown, CBS Records, Arista and a number of independent producers including Ronnie Lawson, Kurt Peterson, Brian Gari, Bert Goodman and Jeff Olmsted. Elynn's professional singing credit's include a featured performance in "Love Bites" starring Chita Rivera (produced and also starring Wayne Cilento). In addition to her singing, Elynn spent several years dancing professionally with the Ronnie DeMarco Jazz Dancers and later taught classes at his studio. She also taught classes at the original Broadway Dance Center in New York City. Elynn went on to introduce her unique "Emotional Jazz Dance Class" at Carnegie Hall. While at Carnegie Hall, Elynn founded the "Freeing Your Voice Means Opening Your Heart"TM performance class for singers, dancers and actors - a process that integrates a student's spirit, intellect and emotions with vocal technique. Elynn has also created a Monologue Study Class which emphasizes acting with emotional truthfulness and clarity of intention. Elynn works holistically, believing that it truly is an integration of our physical, spiritual, emotional and mental energies that allow us to be whole and complete. She is deeply committed to freeing the artist from the "inside out" and believes that what goes on in your life goes on in your art. She brings passion, insight and humor to her work. In addition to her teaching, Elynn continues to write musicals, produce and direct. Elynn is also available as a vocal arranger for recordings. |
